Vincent Van Gogh Latte

“There is no blue without yellow and without orange.”- Vincent Van Gogh. His work is breathtaking. But his life is enraptures your mind. I was introduced to Vincent Van Gogh’s work at the age of 7 by my second grade teacher. She was into the arts . Especially painters. I remember being memorized by the brushstrokes I’ve never seen before. Manipulating the mind into seeing this circular motions. What a difference a painting looks from afar and close. As I got older. I researched his life. It struck a chord with me because of how relatable his struggles are to mine. Depression has its ups and downs and unfortunately. Vincent took his life. But he left a legacy of beautiful work. I look through his work and appreciate it whenever I have an episode. He was a smart man. Even with all these voices in his head. This art I created with a cup of latte is inspired my his work. Cheers to him and to all suffering from mental illness. You are not alone!!!

This past weekend I wanted to cook up something with Prosciutto. This is just one of my all time favorite cured meats. I love the perfect amount of saltiness it has and the oh so thin cut slices. Because this meat has a well balance flavor with saltiness and flavor. I didn’t have to add much seasoning to the rest of the stuff used in this dish. Rule of thumb when cooking: Always start with the ingredients that take longer to cook. For this dish I started off with Continue reading “Prosciutto and Eggs for Breakfast”

Transitioning from unhealthy to healthier and more beneficial snacks can be difficult to do. It’s so much easier to grab that bag of chips or an already packaged processed meal. It can also be just a habit of ours, we want things fast. We don’t have time. But is it really that we don’t have time or we don’t attempt to make the time to nourish our bodies with the right stuff?

Here’s one helpful tip for you to start making time to prep those healthy meals. Let’s say you spend 30 minutes on the phone. Scrolling through your favorite social media app. Try cutting that in half. Now you will be spending more half of that time making a snack or prepping a small meal for your next workday.
