Tea and Honey Face Scrub

During last year’s Zero Waste Challenge, I found myself struggling with changing my face cleaning regimen.  i was in love with St.Ives Apricot scrub. But i knew i had to give it up. So i switched to a honey based face scrub. honey is not only delicious. But it’s also so good for your skin.

  • Acne: Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention.
  • Aging: Full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging.
  • Complexion boost: It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow.
  • Pores: Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.

I have normal/dry skin. Let me warn you that this might not be fitted for oily skin. But don’t worry. you can still use this exact recipe but without the olive oil. Instead, make sure to wash your face with a face wash after using the honey face scrub. That way you don’t leave much oily residue on your skin.

Here is my recipe:

  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • a teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 bag of tea
